Why hello there! It's been a week since my last post, so I thought I'd do another one. There is also a post going up on either Saturday or Sunday, and then loads of posts going up over the summer. I don't think I said anything, but I have 15, maybe more, posts going up this summer, and they're all two to five days apart.
Anywaysssss, I hope everyone is doing well and that everyone is having a wonderful day, rain or shine.
Oh also, please go check out my last post, it's called 'Ridiculously British Things!' and you can access it here I don't usually promote my posts, but that's probably one of my favourites and it would mean a lot if you went and read it.
Also, these are basically just lipsticks you can buy in boots or superdrug, because I know that you could argue that to some people Mac lipsticks are affordable so just wanted to clear that up. Oh, and I think this is my last beauty related post before my summer posts start- we need a hashtag for that. Hmmm what about #summerdayswithalice ? Ok, I love it so we'll go with that.
Going to get on with it now!
Lipstick number one:
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter, 001, Pink Truffle.
I'm pretty sure I've raved about this lipstick at least 7329493430384347784339859638 times before, but honestly, its amazing and I really like it. The colour is like a darkish pink nude with a brownish undertone, and it looks so classy and elegant on, it suits my skintone, which is quite pale, and I think it would look good on anyone. It also feels so nice on your lips, it's like a lip balm and it moisturises my lips, and it also smells so nice. It smells like white chocolate oh my gosh I really love it. Oh, and the pigmentation is also so good, and it leaves a really nice shine on your lips so for me, I would repurchase and I'm going to give it a 5/5. It retails for £7.99 and I think it's definitely worth it.
Lipstick number two:
Maybelline New York, 625, Iced Caramel.
This one is a fairly recent purchase, which is why you haven't heard me talk about it all that much. But honestly, I really like it. It's a brown lipstick with pink undertones, and it looks so nice on the lips, it isn't moisturising but feels kind of soft, and the only things I don't like about it are the smell and the fact that the sticker on the bottom is not an accurate representation of the actual lipstick colour, but I feel like that's the same for most lipsticks. I would possibly repurchase this one, and I'm going to give it a 3.9/5. It retails for £6.99 and for a nude lipstick, it's not bad.
Lipstick number three:
MaxFactor Lipfinity lip colour, 210, Endlessly Mesmerising.
This lipstick is hands down my favourite. I wear it a lot of the time because it's a really pretty colour, it's a pink with brown undertones and looks really pretty on the lips, it dries matte and honestly lasts all day. The one thing I will say, is that you have to be really careful with how much you apply. You only need one coat, or else it starts to chip and flake, which is not ideal. I think it's packaged quite similarly to the Kylie Lip Kits, I'm not sure if it's an exact dupe, I mean, it could be, but don't take my word for it. This one is quite expensive, it's £10.99, but you do get a lot of wears out of it and it comes with a lip balm in the packaging. Overall, I really really like it and I would rate it a 5/5.
Lipstick number four:
Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss, 105.
This lipstick. Oh. My. Goodness. I really like it. I was pleasantly surprised to be honest, I didn't think I'd like it that much, but it actually looks so nice on, again, it's a pinkish colour with a brownish undertone, and it sits so nicely on the lips. It feels really soft but stays on for a really long time, and the colour of it is stunning. I don't much like the smell of it though, it smells like watermelon and for some reason, it's not too appealing to me. It retails for £5.49, and overall, I'd give it 3.5/5.
So there you are! I hope you enjoyed this short lipstick post, and I hope you have a wonderful holiday, and I'll see you all this weekend with another post!
Byeeeee,

Ridiculously British things!
EXAMS ARE OVER!!!!!!!!!! YAY! Oh, hi there :-) I'm now on summer holidays, though I have to be in school for one day next week because the electricity at home will be switched off all day. But seriously though, summer yay!!!
Anyway, I'll start.
I wanted to do a post that I think we can relate to, and that is typical British things, because we all do these things, whether we know it or not, so let’s get right into it!
Having a Sunday roast. This is like one of the most British things ever, Sundays are not the same without a roast dinner- though we sometimes have them on Saturdays- does that change anything though??
Cuppas… Ok, tea is like a purely British thing, starting off the day with a cup of tea, having a cuppa with elevenses (that’s actually a word in the dictionary oh my goodness), having a cup with lunch, a cup when you get home, a cup before dinner, a cup after dinner and a cup before bed. Sometimes on weekends we had a pot of tea, or if we go out for breakfast I’ll have a pot of tea with a teacake…
Elevenses. This is just so British that I can’t even. Who came up with it? They must have been like ‘Hmmmm in Britain we won’t call it a snack, we’ll call it elevenses and make everyone wait till eleven to have a shortbread and tea, no matter how hungry they are at ten’
Crumpets, English breakfast muffins and teacakes. Now, I absolutely hate crumpets, but I love breakfast muffins and teacakes, does that make up for it? There’s not many things nicer than in the morning having a teacake and tea whilst looking out at the trees, or alternatively running to catch the bus whilst hurriedly eating a teacake and carrying a flask full of tea…
Luvvly-Jubbly- this is just such a British phrase, and my friend and I have this thing that when you say it you have to have tea with the queen (yes, we’re weird) and so we have about fifteen teas with the queen a day.
Words like ‘toodlepip’ and ‘cheerio’. No, not cheerio the breakfast cereal, but cheerio means goodbye, see you later, as does toodlepip.
Reading the newspaper. There’s nothing quite like reading a paper whilst drinking a cup of tea (of course) and finding out what’s going on in the world.
Fish and chips. This is so stereotypically British, every Friday going to the chippy and getting your battered cod and chips that is sometimes wrapped in newspaper, oh gosh I can’t wait till fish and chips day now!
Complaining about the weather. This is so British, you complain when it’s too cold and wish it was warmer, but then when it’s warm you complain it’s too hot and wish it was colder! Since I travel a lot, mainly to warm countries I tend to complain when it’s below 20 degrees (…) and everyone is a bit annoyed then. I spend at least half my summer in Spain, where it’s around 35 degrees, and I travel to places like Singapore, Thailand and Dubai a few times a year. Saying that, I love it when it snows, it makes everything seem so special. Mind you, British people complain about everything really, not just the weather!
Usually we’re ridiculously polite, so we apologise a lot, and yes, we’re terrible snobs and are secretly judging you… I’m so sorry.
Watching the Great British Bake Off on a Wednesday night with a cuppa. Missing the bake off season :/
That’s all for today, I hope you liked this post, be sure to share it if you did! Toodlepip!
Big love,
A x

a little catch up!
Hi everyone!
So obviously, I havent blogged in a while. I do feel guilty about it, but theres been a lot going on recently. I'm now recovering from pneumonia, which was horrible. I've been a day patient in hospital & attached to a drip with multiple tubes & an oxygen mask with more medicine in. School has also been hectic, next week is exam week (and I have 7 days to do 28 maths chapters, oops) but we've already had a few end of year exams. Today was had a maths test, but I'd been absent for all of the topics covered in it, but still had to do it (aka sit there confused for an hour) and we also had our French listening today. Our history exam was the other day, and on Wednesday we have our French speaking and music end of years.
It's also almost summer!! We finish on the 30th of June, and then we're flying a few days afterwards. I'm so excited for the summer, and you're finally going to have half decent blog posts from me!!! Comment one thing you're most looking forward to this summer, I'm so excited to go to the beach and go shopping in different cities (Soph, Eilisha, I'm looking at you on this one) and I'm also excited to not have school for a couple of months. This year hasn't been great and I'm looking forward to a new beginning in September, where hopefully everyone will be a bit maturer compared to this year.
Side note, I can hear the wind rattling the windows and wow it's strong!
I'm going to write some recipe posts soon, so look out for those this summer too :)
Another side note, I'm trying to be really healthy, as my skin is really good at the moment, so I ate tons of almonds, blueberries and chia seeds today (and also sweets but shhhh) I might do a skin care routine/ essentials post soon, so I'll update you on that.
I also think you should all go check out the blog www.sunsetsandsaltyhair.blogspot.com because I really like it and its so pretty & elegant :) <3
Well, maths revision awaits, so cheerio for now!

Ps. I think I'm developing tonsilitis again pray for me
